"I may be free from Angola, but Angola will never be free of me…" ~Bro. Robert Hillary King

About Bro. Robert Hillary King & The Angola Three

Bro. Robert Hillary King aka Robert King Wilkerson, a Black Panther & Prison Activist, spent 29 consecutive years of his life in solitary confinement in arguably America's most notorious and bloodiest prison, the 18,500 acre prison work farm known as Angola in Louisiana...His crime and reason for punishment??? Trying to better prison living and working conditions, stopping the systemic sex slavery, rape, race segregation, and violence that was rampant in Angola in the 1960s and 1970s through political organizing and racial solidarity and integration...

Bro. King's dedicated efforts were paying off...He was drawing major media and political attention to the horrible conditions of Angola...He was gaining support from influential people for his efforts...He was also making powerful enemies...

To slow him and the prison reform movement down, Bro. King was allegedly connected
to the murder of a prison guard but never charged...However, His fellow comrades Bro. Herman Wallace and Bro. Albert Woodfox were also framed and formerly charged for the murder of the same prison guard...Unfortunately, Bros. Wallace & Woodfox were also put into solitary confinement for over 40 consecutive years each!!! Because of their inhumane treatment the trio became known as the Angola Three...Bro. Herman Wallace died on October 4, 2013, after being free for a few days as a result of advanced liver cancer...

Bro. Robert King earned his freedom on February 8, 2001, after serving 29 years in solitary confinement, 31 years behind bars total...He currently speaks around the world on behalf of his imprisoned comrades as well as other political prisoners of conscience still locked up in the world's biggest prison state, the U.S.A....The U.S.A. possesses 25% of the world's prison population (the most anywhere in the world)...Of the 2 million people locked down, half are people of color (Black)...The U.S.A. also have 4 million people on probation/parole...1 out of every 100 Americans are locked down...Sobering numbers...

Bro. Robert King Wilkerson makes a famous candy he created while in prison called 'Freelines' (similar to pralines and pronounced the same way)...You can order the deliciously sweet candy at his website...

"The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie, deliberate, contrived and dishonest, but the myth, persistent, persuasive and unrealistic."

"The courage of life is often a less dramatic spectacle than the courage of a final moment; but it is no less a magnificent mixture of triumph and tragedy."

"In whatever arena of life one may meet the challenge of courage, whatever may be the sacrifices he faces if he follows his conscience – the loss of his friends, his fortune, his contentment, even the esteem of his fellow men – each man must decide for himself the course he will follow. The stories of past courage can define that ingredient – they can teach, they can offer hope, they can provide inspiration. But they cannot supply courage itself. For this each man must look into his own soul."

Dick Gregory Gone Wild I Mean Viral…

'Nigger' Happened!!!~Bro. Dick Gregory

In January 2013, an interview W.E. A.L.L. B.E. did with venerable comic legend, author, nutritional guru and civil rights activist Bro. Dick Gregory went viral…The interview, which was uploaded on the W.E. A.L.L. B.E. TV YouTube channel deals with his endorsement of the controversial award winning film “Django Unchained” and his criticisms of Spike Lee as ‘a punk’ and ‘a thug’ for offering a negative review of the film without even seeing it…My video has caused a firestorm of controversy, debate and was even picked up by respected and popular national media outlets such as The Huffington Post, Bossip, NewsOne, The Root, and Black Enterprise magazine just to name a few…The comments made on the YouTube video range from the profane to the profound…I also enjoy reading the insightful comments and blog posts it has generated on social media forums and other internet outlets…I have also received phone calls from folks all over the USA thanking me for the video and sharing their own insights on why hearing the interview was such an affirming learning experience for them…The literally tens of thousands of responses it generated could actually probably make for a great foundation for a decent dissertation on the topic…I was glad that the moment W.E. A.L.L. B.E. captured and shared for posterity also became a true teaching moment for the rest of the world too…

You can view the actual interview and video that I created at the following link:

About Bro. Abraham Bolden

(Note: Bro. Abraham Celebrated His 76th Life Affirmation Day With Us During This Interview!!!)

From the first African American assigned to the presidential Secret Service detail comes a gripping and unforgettable true story of bravery and patriotism in the face of bitter hatred and unthinkable corruption.

Abraham Bolden was a young African American Secret Service agent in Chicago when he was asked by John F. Kennedy himself to join the White House Secret Service detail. For Bolden, it was a dream come true—and an encouraging sign of the charismatic president’s vision for a new America.

But the dream quickly turned sour when Bolden found himself regularly subjected to open hostility and blatant racism. He was taunted, mocked, and disparaged but remained strong, and he did not allow himself to become discouraged.

More of a concern was the White House team’s irresponsible approach to security. While on his tour of presidential duty, Bolden witnessed firsthand the White House agents’ long-rumored lax approach to their job. Drinking on duty, abandoning key posts—this was not a team that appeared to take their responsibility to protect the life of the president particularly seriously. Both prior to and following JFK’s assassination, Bolden sought to expose and address the inappropriate behavior and negligence of these agents, only to find himself the victim of a sinister conspiracy that resulted in his conviction and imprisonment on a trumped-up bribery charge.

A gripping memoir substantiated by recently declassified government documents, The Echo from Dealey Plaza is the story of the terrible price paid by one man for his commitment to truth and justice, as well as a shocking new perspective on the circumstances surrounding the death of a beloved president.

Sis. Maggie Rhodes with Baby Ashton

The Castration Of Baby Ashton: How Did A Routine Circumcision Turned Into An Exceptionally Hellish Nightmare Experience For Mother & Child???

"You try to be the best mom you can be, but it's like the attack of the enemies is always there...I feel like I failed my son." ~Sis. Maggie Rhodes, the mother of Baby Ashton

“Never, never be afraid to do what's right, especially if the well-being of a person or animal is at stake. Society's punishments are small compared to the wounds we inflict on our soul when we look the other way.”~Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Bro. Ron aka r2c2h2 tha artivist says:
Many Black people do not like going to the doctor in particular for cultural reasons not to mention the good reason provided by this tragic tale...Many feel that some White or other ethnic doctors are not emotionally invested or concerned about them as individuals let alone their health status…Then some Black folks do not trust doctors based on what has historically happened to Blacks in America all in the supposed name of science and progress at the hands of white physicians…Tragic episodes such as the Tuskegee Experiment, the exploitation of Henrietta Lacks’ DNA without her consent at John Hopkins University and the troubling legacy of Dr. J. Marion Sims aka ‘The Father of Gynecology’ who performed horrific and sadistic experiments on enslaved African women without anesthesia are considered by many as good and valid reasons not to...Whether this is a fair assessment of the current situation or not is dependent on the individual and their personal experiences respectively but I can personally attest that hospitals can seem like cold and unforgiving spaces especially if one feels that their physician lacks respect and compassion for their well being…

With that said I am very disturbed by the tragic story of Baby Ashton...Black manhood it seems is under attack from birth in this system of white supremacy and this heinous act, whether intentional at first or not, proves it thoroughly (the cover-up is as equally as devastating as 'the crime')...The effeminization and emasculation of the Black man is in progress and people need to stop acting like they are not aware of it...The fact that the doctor(s) in question would let this Black baby suffer in writhing unimaginable pain without anesthesia and not inform his mother of the horrendous injury shows the lack of respect or concern for Black life in this racist paradigm...Black folks must learn that no one has their best interests at heart when they do not make their own self-interest and survival a priority...A people that cannot protect their kids, is a people that won't last long let alone thrive...Black people cannot continue or afford to leave their healthcare in the hands of those who have built their institutions, wealth and careers off of historically and presently exploiting their individual and collective misery and pain for a profit that does not benefit the aforementioned in neither the short or long term...There is no secret or 'conspiracy theory' that the powers that be are developing sinister ways of systemically eliminating Black people from the planet both covertly as well as overtly...Black people cannot afford to be silent on this issue...The very existence of the Black race depends on the many or a dedicated few in the diaspora organizing solutions and alternatives which clearly demand that Black life is not only 'tolerated' but also protected and respected...

Ms. Maggie Rhodes, whose daughter just had open heart surgery last month, is currently unemployed after losing two jobs just to take care of her very sick children...She recently had to drive 2 and a half hours to her hometown of Greenville, MS, just to seek emergency medical attention for her son, Baby Ashton, who recently suffered an inflamed leg infection which is due from the botched circumcision/penectomy he endured this past summer at Christ Community Health Center on 2861 Broad Avenue in Memphis, TN...The reason she had to drive back to her hometown was because she has been refused service by several  hospitals in the Memphis area where she currently resides...One can almost conclude that because of her son's tragic situation that she has been blackballed and barred by certain entities or interests within the Memphis medical community from receiving essential healthcare services for her children, seemingly provoking a reactionary blame the victim mentality if you will...In a town that is renowned worldwide for its children hospitals, Le Bonheur Children's Hospital & St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, this is more than just irony but a true insult and disgrace...

However, to paraphrase the great Frederick Douglass, power concedes nothing without a demand and so now we all who are of good character and compassion must come together to demand that justice be done in the case of Baby Ashton...Yes even this unfortunate story can still have a happy ending...lease share the story with your networks ad beyond...Also please read below to find out how you can help assist Sis. Maggie Rhodes in getting justice for Baby Ashton...The Best Is Yet To Come!!!

***Updated Note: I have researched and know that there is a difference between a castration (the removal of the male testicles) and a penectomy (the removal of the penis) the latter of which Baby Ashton got...However, in this case or context I consider 'castration' to be a useful term because the doctors involved cut away a piece of Baby Ashton's identity and manhood...Also some people who may feel concerned about the identity of the mother and baby being exposed must look at the traditional media outlets for doing so at first...They originally ran pictures as well as interviewed the mother on camera along with her holding the baby...I actually feel that it was necessary to show the identity of both mother and child due to the uniqueness and horrible nature of the case...As it has been laid out in the article Sis. Maggie Rhodes has experienced many hardships due to the unfortunate incident concerning her son...W.E. A.L.L. B.E. will keep the masses updated on the story as it develops...***
